Local 59 is participating in the Teamsters JCIO Women's Committee Mission which is to send Care Packages to the US Military during the Holiday Season.

All the above items must be individual size. They can be packaged in cartons, however, when opened must be able to be individually distributed. Canned goods must have a flip top opening. Cookies are more preserved in tins, preventing crushing. Crackers are better shipped when in bulk like Costco or BJ's. Drink mixes are small individual plastic containers.

The Union Office has a box set up at our location where you can deposit these items. We are also encouraging our Stewards to collect items at each location. The Union will make arrangements to pick up any items collected by the Stewards. In addition, if anyone is aware of any member who was deployed, please contact our office with their name.
Anyone who would like to send along a "thank you for your service" note to our military, please feel free to enclose it/them with your collection. If you have children / grandchildren, ask them, all are welcomed.

Teamsters Local 59 is proud to continue its support of the Magical Moon Foundation and their efforts in nurturing and empowering children with cancer. Recently at the Teamsters JC 10 Delegates Conference, the members of the Local 59 Executive Board were treated to a presentation by several of the "knights" of Magical Moon.
